Sunny dayssss

So today it was over 80 degrees, which is almost unheard of in Paris at this time of year. Which means two things, it is a great day to lay out at a park but also the metro smells SO bad. I swear some men do not understand the meaning of deodorant. It is seriously a problem. But anyways, it was such a beautiful day. Despite all the French men staring at me because I was wearing shorts. Women don't seem to show any skin here. Sacre Cour is where we went, it is a church and it is beyond beautiful. And the shops around it are so much fun to pop in and out of, definitely one of my favorite places in Paris. Here's some pictures of the church.

England

Last weekend I decided to go to England and visit my best friend Katherine, who has been living there since June. We stayed with her Aunt and Uncle, which I am so thankful for! It was seriously a blast, who would have thought that the countryside of England would remind me so much of Connecticut. Quite interesting. We went out into town and went to a few bars, as well as sight seeing in London. I was surprised at how modern and new everything seemed to be. For some reason I was expecting it to be older like Paris, but no such luck. Highlight of the day would have to be Big Ben and eating chipotle :) Also how it went from a beautiful sunny day to it pouring cats and dogs in seconds. Always have to be prepared for that!

Tour Eiffel

I am absolutely in LOVE with all the sights here. On monday we were able to look at three major tourist attractions. It honestly still feels like I am on vacation. I can't grasp the fact that I now live here. Its quite the trip. Last night I was able to see the tower at night, from across the bridge. It was breath-taking, next week I plan on going to sit and look at the light show with a blanket, baguette and a bottle of wine :)
This was my first big sight-seeing adventure in France. I was completely dumbfounded by the beauty of it. When you get up close to it and realize that this was built hundreds and hundreds of years ago its overwhelming. I absolutely love architecture and this place is so appeasing to the eye its ridiculous. I am constantly taking photos of buildings, they are so interesting.
Katherine & I right in the middle of it all :)

Bonjour!

I have meant to start this darn thing for over a week now, but getting accustomed with this city has taken some time! Plus Katherine has been here and we have been adventuring all over the place. It is clear to me that I am going to have the time of my life here. Despite the fact that the first few days were pretty tough, but I mean it is going to be rough moving halfway across the world. I've decided to start this blog to share my adventures with family and friends as well as having something to look back on when its all over. I've got 37 weeks to live it up in Europe, join me on my adventure. :)
